How to Get a Lot Better at Cornhole

Cornhole is one of the most famous lawn and drinking games — next to beer pong, of course. This game involves tossing a small bag at wooden boards that are usually rectangular in shape and has holes in them. It is usually played outside with friends and if you are the competitive type, then you are most likely wondering how you can be a lot better at cornhole games.

Today, we’ve got you, as we are going to discuss some of the moves and tips that you can practice to be a lot better at cornhole. If you do not have your stuff yet, then make sure to buy it at Cornole Worldwide today so you can enjoy a fun outdoor game with your friends real soon.

Find a Comfortable Position

With cornhole, you have to feel comfortable with the position that you are in. Make sure to find the perfect stance that you know would work for you. If you do not know what stance you would feel comfortable in, then try this: step your opposite foot forward and then try to launch the bag with your dominant hand. You can also try to stand very still, then step and throw the bag at the same time. If you have played a game of golf before, then playing cornhole is similar — just make sure that your throw is fluid and that you are using your dominant hand to throw the bag.

Practice Makes Perfect

This might be a cliche saying, but it still applies, even to cornhole. If you haven’t played a game of cornhole before or you haven’t practised in a while, then do not aim for the hole right away. If you do, chances are you will miss it. First, you’d want to make sure that you will be able to put the bag into the first six inches of the board within the hole. Use the velocity to slide it into the hole instead, and you have a bigger chance of winning the game.

Spin it

Cornhole masters say that a flat throw will get you nowhere at a cornhole game. Instead, you’d want to start with a flat throw and then spin it to have a higher chance of putting it into the hole. This might take the longest, though, so be patient and practice until you feel like you finally got the right throw. This is like throwing a frisbee into the air — you start with a flat throw and then you allow it to spin the longer it goes.

Try to Relax

We know it’s hard to relax when you are getting hyped up by your friends around you. Add the alcohol in your system and you might feel like all of your blood is rushing to your head. However, if you really want to be good at this game, then you might want to try and relax so you have a higher chance of winning. Don’t think too much and try to just wing it. Breathe and focus before throwing the bag and don’t be careless about it.

The most sensible tip that we can give you is to practice until you know that you’ve got it right. Host a party and a good game of cornhole with your friends and ask them for some tips, too!
